Dhaka – A court here on Sunday sent a former officer-in-charge (OC) of Patia Police Station of Chittagong to jail in a case filed under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act.The accused police officer is Refayet Ullah Chowdhury.Additional District and Sessions Judge Md Nurul Amin Biplob passed the order when the OC surrendered before the court and sought bail.Refayet’s wife Ruma Akhter filed the case against him on January 18 on charge of repression.UNB news agency
