Dhaka – A local union parishad chairman has allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his house at Masumpur Mahalla in Ullapara upazila.Quoting locals, police said Khalid Intejar Shakti Mirza, chairman of Mohonpur union parishad and son of former MP late Abdul Latif Mirza, went to bed on Saturday night as usual. Getting no response from him till Sunday morning, the house inmates entered the room breaking open the door and found him hanging from the ceiling.Later, he was taken to Sadar Hospital where doctors declared him dead.The reason behind the suicide could not be known.Khalid was elected UP chairman of Mohonpur union parishad twice.
