Global conference 2016 of Peoples’ movement in Nepal

Kathmandu: The Nepal Unit of the Nature–Human Centric Peoples Movement is going to organise a global conference 2016 in Nepal.
General Secretary at Nepal Unit, Dindaya Rijal, informed that the conference will discuss climate change effects, global warming, widening gulf between the rich and poor, unemployment, corruption, rule of law, and nuclear reactor. Before this, many such mini conferences will be held in India, Bangladesh and the US in 2015.The Movement was established in 2002 realising the need of historic responsibility of expanding human activities in view of the integrity and health.
The People’s Movement has so far organized five SAARC-level conferences by expanding its presence in the region since its inception.
The Saturday meeting of the Movement has decided to set up district branches of Nepal Unit and conduct orientations.
The People’s Movement Nepal Unit organised the sixth People’s SAARC recently and released an 11-point declaration, voicing for promotion of fraternity, solidarity, exchange of water resources, resolution of border problems and unemployment in the SAARC region.
Other issues focused by the declaration were the rights to backward communities in the SAARC region, food security, clean drinking water, guarantee of education and sanitation, rule of law, corruption control and women’s participation in state mechanisms.
The People’s SAARC was attended by the representatives from the SAARC Countries.
