Brahmanbaria, July 19 – The assistant loco master of Jayantika Express train was severely injured in an attack by some miscreants in Brahmanbaria on Thursday. The victim Md Ali Hossain was admitted to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital soon after the attack, which took place at Brahmanbaria Ral Station.
Railway sources said Ali locked into an altercation with some young men while on trip break at Dhaka Airport Rail Station over boarding the train.
Later, a group of miscreants swooped on while his train reached the rail station around 2:30 pm, leaving him severely injured.
Brahmanbaria Railway Station Master Quamrul Islam said following the incident, the train was stuck at the station for 3 hours, from 2.30pm to 5.30pm. – UNB
