Opposition BNP standing committee member Barrister Rafiqul Islam Mia said the government would have to be responsible if situation like 1/11 comes back.He came up with the observation while addressing a discussion at the National Press Club on Friday.
Barrister Rafiqul Mia said, “Ministers, lawmakers and speaker will take part in election retaining posts will be the rare example in the world. But every contender should get equal facility in the election campaign.”
“Government does not pay importance to our demand for caretaker government. If 1/11 situation come back, it has to be responsible for the same,” he added.
He also alleged that election commission was just fulfilling government wishes.
