Holey Artisan Bakery militant attack charge hearing Nov 26

Dhaka, Nov 14 – The Anti-Terrorist Special Tribunal yesterday fixed November 26 for hearing on charge framing in the case filed in connection with the militant attack on the Holey Artisan Bakery of Gulshan area in the city. Judge Md Mojibur Rahman of the special tribunal fixed the date on Wednesday. On the day, ad on fugitive Md Mamunur Rashid and Md Shariful Islam were produced before the court while the judge fixed the date for charge hearing.
On August 8, the court took cognizance of the charge-sheet. In the charge-sheet, North South University’s former teacher Hasnat Karim was acquitted as the no charge was proved against him.
Earlier, after receiving the reports on the execution of the arrest warrant, Judge Mojibur Rahman of the tribunal passed the order directing the Officers-in-Charge to submit reports on the execution of attachment of movable properties by September 30.
On August 8, the tribunal accepted charge sheet against eight militants and issued arrest warrants against accused Khaled and Ripon.
On July 1, 2016, the incident happened in Gulshan diplomatic area, when 28 persons were killed including two police officials, 18 foreigners, two local people and six militants. – Court Correspondent
