Police recovered the hanging body of a newlywed housewife from a house in the city’s Sabujbagh area on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Marzina, 22, wife of Ajay of Manda under Sabujbagh Police Station.
Ajay has been absconding since the incident came to light.Police said Marzina, a Muslim, and Ajay, a Hindu by religion, got married barely a month ago following a love affair.
They couple had been residing at a flat at 55/7/9 North Basabu of Manda since their marriage.
On information, police recovered the hanging body of Marzina at about 12:45 pm and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for post mortem. – UNB
