Police arrested a local leader of Jamaat-e-Islami at Katakhali in Fakirhat upazila on Friday.The arrested was identified as Nur Mohammad, 50, general secretary of Piljong union Jammat unit of the upazila.
Police said a team of police conducted a raid in the area and arrested Nur Mohammad at night.Anwar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Fakirhat Police Station, said Nur Mohammad is an accused in four cases filed for attack on police, murder and breaching section 144 in different areas of the upazila on
