Armed robbers looted huge gold ornaments from a jewellery shop in the
district town on Monday evening.
Panic has spread among the gold traders in the town following the
thrilling robbery.
Police sources said armed robbers numbering 6-7 swooped on the
jewellery shop named Jamuna Jewellers at 6:45 pm and took the shop
employees hostage at gunpoint.
The robbers bagged up huge gold ornaments in a sack and left the scene
after exploding crude bombs and firing gunshots.
Contacted, Dr Nahid Hossain, superintendent of police (SP) of Natore,
said they had launched a special drive to track down the robbers.
