Dhaka, Feb 22 – A jewellry trader was hacked to death by miscreants in Sinduria Rail Bridge area of Burichang upazila in Comilla district, about 100 km southeast of Dhaka on Tuesday night.Officer-in-charge of Burichang Police Station Uttam Kumar Barua said deceased Abul Kalam Azad, 38, son of Jamir Ali, a resident of Begumabad village in Debidwar upazila, was returning home from his jewelry shop riding a motorcycle at night.
When he reached the Rail Bridge area, a group of miscreants waylaid him and hacked him indiscriminately around 9:15pm, leaving him dead on the spot, the OC said quoting witnesses. – UNB
