Welcoming Sajeeb Wazed Joy’s involvement in political activities, Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Thursday said Joy has a very good record and there is nothing to talk too much about it as he comes to politics openly. “He has got a good track record, why there should too much of discussion,” he told reporters while inspecting the extension work of the Central Shaheed Minar at Chouhatta in the city.
Tacitly backing the recent remarks made by the Prime Minister’s son about Awami League’s reelection in the next polls, Muhith said, “Although I don’t have any such information but I have confidence in it.”
Interpreting Joy’s remarks over the national election, the Finance Minister said, “It has two meanings – either he has got the findings of a survey report about it or the language he used over the matter that creates misgivings.
“Joy could have simply stated that he believes or thinks that Awami League would return to power,” Muhith said. – UNB
