Dhaka’s Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court on Thursday rejected the bail petitions of BNP Vice-Chairman and Convener of Dhaka City BNP Sadeque Hossain Khoka in cases filed in connection with hartal (shutdown) and blockade violence.
Judge Md Jahurul Haque of the court passed the order after hearing on bail petitions filed on behalf of Khoka.
On December 4, last year, Sadeque Hossain Khoka was arrested and put on a two-day remand to quiz him in a case lodged with Paltan and Shahbagh Police Stations for torching a bus that caused the death of four persons and 15 other people were injured in the incident.
The former Dhaka City mayor Khoka was also shown arrested in another case filed with Ramna Police Station for putting a bus on fire at Malibagh in the capital.
