LDA’s dialogue with PM Tuesday

Leaders of Left Democratic Alliance (LDA), a platform of left-leaning political parties, will sit in a dialogue with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday over the next general election.

A 16-member LDA delegation will join the talks at the Prime Minister’s official residence Ganobhanan at 7:30pm, Monir Hossain Pappu, central committee member of Ganosamhati Andolon, told UNB on Sunday.

The delegation members include Mujahidul Islam Selim, president of Communist Party of Bangladesh; Saiful Huq, General Secretary of Biplobi Worker’s Party; Mushrefa Mishu, president of Ganatantrik Biplobi Party; Zonayed Saki, convener of Ganosamhati Andolon; Mosharraf Hossain Nannu, General Secretary of United Communist League of Bangladesh; Hamidul Haque, convener of Bangladesher Samajtantrik Anodolon; Khalekuzzaman, General Secretary of Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal; and Shuvrangshu Chakrabarty, central member of Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (Marxist).

During the talks with the Prime Minister, the Left Democratic Alliance will place its seven-point demand, including formation of a neutral caretaker government, dissolution of the current parliament before election schedule and reconstruction of the Election Commission.
