An elderly woman was killed in thunderbolt at Motilalpur village under Moheshpur upazila in Jhenidah on Friday afternoon
The deceased was identified as Rokeya Khatun, 50 wife of Bahar Ali of Motilalpur under Moheshpur upazila of the district.Bahar Ali, victim’s husband said, On Friday afternoon at around 6-00 pm she went out to bring cattle nearby of her house. All on a sudden
thunderbolt stuck her to dead on the spot.
Bagerhat Corresppondent adds:Sultan Hawladar (50), a farmer of village Uttar Gopalpur under Kachua Upazilla in the district met his tragic
end when a thunderbolt crushed on him on Monday.
It is learnt that on the day at 4-30 pm the ill-fated farmer was transplanting paddy seedlings in a plot of land belonging to him
suddenly a lightning flashed on him. As a result he was killed on the spot.
