Dhaka- A mobile court here on Wednesday sentenced a drug peddler to two months imprisonment for taking and selling Yaba tablets in Veterinary Hospital area in the district town.Tipped off, the mobile court carried out a drive and arrested Ripon, 24, along with 20 pieces of the contraband pills, said Ilius Hossian, officer in charge of Magura police station.Later, executive magistrate Parimal Kumar Sarkar sentenced him to two months imprisonment.On the other hand, police arrested a woman along with 500 grams of hemp from Moghirdhal area on Wednesday evening.Police said Jahanara Begum, 40, wife of Saheb Ali of Moghi village, has been selling different kinds of drugs for long.A case was filed.UNB news agency
