A minor girl drowned in a pond in Ramganj Bilashi village under Debiganj upazila of
Panchagarh district on Tuesday.
The victim was identified as Kokila Begum,8, daughter of Md. Kamruzzaman Ali of the
same village.
Local sources said the girl was playing by the side of the pond when she suddenly fell
into the pond water and drowned.
Family members recovered her floating body from the pond after searching.
She was rushed to Debiganj Upazila Health Complex where the attending doctors
