A thread factory owner was shot and injured by unknown miscreants at Merul under Badda Police Station here on Tuesday.The victim was identified as Siddique, 35, owner of Super Thread and son of Adam Ali of Rajapur upazila in Jhalkati.
Siddique sustained bullet wounds to the both legs when a group of three criminals stormed into his factory office around 2:30pm and opened fire on him, said workers of the factory.
Workers Ibrahim and Pavel who whisked him off to Dhaka Medical College Hospital said Siddique had an altercation with Imran, another worker, on Monday night.
Today’s incident might have been the sequel to Monday’s altercation, they said. – UNB
