Dhaka – Police recovered the body of a retired army man from a paddy field at Pakulla village of Mirzapur upazila on Sunday afternoon, 11 days after he went missing.The deceased was identified as SM Abdul Malek, 80, a retired Subeder of army and resident of Goran village in the upazila.AKM Mizanul Haque, officer-in-charge of Mirzapur Police Station, said Malek went missing on October 18. His son filed a General Diary (GD) on October19 with the police station.Locals spotted the body in a paddy field of the area on Sunday afternoon and informed police.Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Tandail General Hospital for autopsy, the OC added.UNB news agency
