Police arrested a young man on Friday for his mysterious movement during a human chain formed in front of the Chittagong Press Club in the city protesting the gruesome murder of Police Super Babul Akhter’s wife Mahmuda Khanam Mitu.Police were yet to ascertain his identity as the arrestee gave several identities.
Sub-inspector of Kotwali Police Station Tofazzal said a group of people arranged a human chain in the afternoon protesting the killing of Mitu.
During the protest programme, the youth, aged around 25-26, roamed with a rickshaw in front of the human chain several times.
Later, the protesters caught him and handed him over to police.
Later, police searched his rickshaw and recovered a mobile phone, two knives and a pen drive kept hidden under the seat of the rickshaw.
