Dhaka-Mother Fahmida Mir Mukti on Wednesday made confessional statement to a Dhaka court admitting her involvement in the murder of her 18 months old son Nihal Sadeque.Metropolitan Magistrate SM Masud Zaman of Dhaka recorded the confessional statement of the mother and passed orders to send her to the jail.
Child Nihal Sadeque was killed in their Society Road residence under Uttara Police Station of the capital on the midnight of 12 April. Later, mother Mukti attempted to suicide. But police detained injured mother and she was rushed to Uttara Modern Medical College Hospital for medical treatment. Later, she recovered and a court placed her on five days remand. On completion of the two rounds of remand the accused mother made confession.
On April 19, Syed Sajjad Hossain Murad, father of the child filed the murder case against his wife Mukti for the murder of child Nihal Sadeque. Besides, police filed another case against the accused for her attempt to commit suicide. -Court Correspondent
