New full-length film on the ‘Middle Class’

Maharat of a new film titled “Maddha Bitta” has been held. Tanvir Hasan will direct the film. He has previously worked for numerous TV productions. Present at the maharat were actors of the film and crew members including the director. Intros of two emotional songs of the film were also played at the event.
Maddha Bitta is about the middle class community and more particularly about a middle-income rural family that succumbs to sinister village community politics and lascivious ploys of a son of one of the community leaders. The victim family comprises a father and his college-going daughter. The father dies out of shame cast on him and his daughter’s characters regarding an event of sexual harassment while the daughter is forced to move out.
Looking for a livelihood in Dhaka city the daughter finds her ordeals getting worse at the hands of similar lustful men. Even though one man comes to her rescue by marrying her other men do not let her breather easily and consequently she resorts back to her ancestral homeland and before her father’s graveyard. The film casts Elina Shammi in the lead role. She was previously seen in ‘Ekattorer Ma Jononi,’ ‘Gantabbo’, ‘Loni’ and ‘Amra Ekti Cinema Banabo.’ Opposite her would be Rohan as the city boy who agrees to marry her despite her deplorable status in the society in the film.
Other actors of the film are Azizul Hakim, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Keya Moni, Masum Aziz, Shabnam Parvin, Boro Da Mithu, Munira Mithu and more.
