State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan on Saturday said the government will not allow the separatists of neighbouring India and Myanmar to operate from the country.
He said this while talking to reporters after a views exchange meeting with the police officers at the office of the district’s superintendent of police.The junior minister noted that during the meeting, he had ordered the police officials not to give any leniency to criminals even if they are from the ruling party.
In order to increase the capacity of the police, the government will very soon appoint 17,000 personnel in the force, he added.
He also mentioned that Gazipur Metropolitan Police will be formed very soon.
Asked to comment on the ongoing revision trial of Felani killing case at the General Security Force Court in India, Asaduzzaman declined to make any comment. – UNB
