Detective Branch (DB) of police of Meherpur arrested a man and recovered huge Indian medicine worth about Taka 50 lakh from Post office area of the district town here on Monday night.
The arrested was identified as Emon Ali, son of Azar Hossain, of the same area.
On a tip-off, a team of DB police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Emon with the illegal medicine from his house, said Riazur Islam Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar thana.
A case was filed with the thana in this connection. -BSS, Meherpur
