A youth was killed under the wheels of a train near Ullopara village
under Kaligonj upazila in Jhenidah on Saturday. The deceased was
identified as Badsha Mia, 25 son of Abdus Salam of Rasulpur village in
Manikganj Sadar upazila.
Kaligonj Railway station master Najrul Islam said, Badsha came to
sister’s house for visit a few days back. On Saturday noon at around
2.00 pm Badsha was walking along on the track of the train while
talking on the mobile phone.
At the time a Khulna bound Sagardari train from Rajshahi hit him from
behind near Ullopara village under Kaligonj upazila of the district
and leaving him serious injured. Instantly, locals rescued him and
admit to Jessore Medical College Hospital. He succumbed to injuries on
the way of the hospital.
On information the government railway police (GRP) had recovered the
body and sent to Khulna GRP hospital for post mortem examination.
A case was filed with GRP station in this connection, the station
