Police arrested an alleged drug trader along with 3,600 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup at Laudia on the Jhenidah-Jessore Highway in sadar upazila on Thursday.The arrested was identified as Shahinur Alam, son of Matiar Rahman, resident of Porahuda village in Chougachha upazila of Jessore district.
Police said tipped off, a team of police started searching vehicles on the Jhenidah-Jessore Highway and recovered 3,600 bottles of
Phensidyl from a private car at about 6.30 pm.
Police also arrested the driver of the vehicle.
