Dhaka – Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive arrested an alleged drug peddler along with 500 gram of heroin from Barorsia Hayater intersection area in Sadar upazila of Chapainawabganj district early Tuesday.The arrestee was identified as Md Mahubul alias Kalu, 45, son of Md Alfaz Uddin Biswas of Sultanganj village in Godagari upazila.
On secret information, a team of Rab-5 led by camp commander Squadron Leader Syed Abdullah Al Murad, conducted a drive in the area around 1:45 am and arrested Mahubul along with the heroin, said a press release.The elite force also recovered a mobile phone set from his possession.In primary interrogation, Mahubul confessed that he had been involved with drug trading in the area for a long.UNB news agency
