A farmer was killed in lightning while he was working in the field at
Monsurdaing Beel
under Bangabari union of Gomostapur upazila in the district this
afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Fazlur Rahman, 50, son of Esaruddin of
Santaspur Kamat village under the same union.
Police and local sources said suddenly Rahman was struck by a
thunderbolt while he was working in the filed and was injured
seriously.
He was rushed to his house where he succumbed to injuries at around 3 pm.
