Members of Detective Branch (DB) of police recovered 1,310 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup from an alleged drug peddler’s possession and arrested him in this connection in Kudaya of Sadar upazila on Tuesday morning.
The arrestee was identified as Firoz, son of Nur Mia of Laxmipur district. Moniruzzaman, officer-in-charge of DB police, said being tipped off, a team of DB police conducted a search in a car on the Jessore-Monirampur highway in the morning and arrested Firoz along with the contraband drugs.A case was filed under the Narcotics Control Act with Kotawali Police Station. -UNB, Jessore
