Dhaka, June 28 – A Dhaka court on Thursday set September 8 for submission of probe report against Grameen Telecom Trust Chairman and Nobel Laureate Dr Md Yunus on the charge of misappropriating Tk seven crore. Earlier, the court fixed June 28 for submission of the probe report. But, as the police of Pallabi Police Station did not submit the report, Magistrate Subrata Ghosh Shuva passed the order on Thursday.
On March 20, Md Bahadur Islam Imtiaj, proprietor of M/S Taj Enterprise of Savar lodged the case while the ordered Pallabi Police Station to submit a probe report after investigation.
Besides, Dr Yunus, Grameen Telecom Trust’s Chief Executive Officer Ashraful Hasan, and two officers Jahirul Islam and Asaduzzaman have been made accused in the case. – Special Correspondent
