Protesters again at Shahbagh

DHAKA: Shahbagh protesters took position again here for next 24-hour from Wednesday evening ahead of verdict in war crimes case against Jamaat assistant secretary general M Kamaruzzaman.A statement of Dr Imran H Sarker, Convener of Blogger and Online Activist Network, made the disclosure in the afternoon.
In his statement, Imran H Sarkar said, “Today’s gathering is as per our earlier announcement of staying at Ganojagaron Mancha for 24 hours before any verdict of from International Crimes Tribunal (ICT).”
He added: “We will chant slogans, sing Gana Sangeet and recite from poetry during the stay.”
He further added, “We are expecting capital punishment of Kamaruzzaman as he is found guilty of seven types of crimes which include killings, mass killings, rapes and deporting people.”
Earlier Bloggers and Online Activists Network (BOAN) started Ganajagaran Mancha on February 5 with the demand of capital punishment of war criminals of 1971.
On early hours of May 6, after three months of continuous protest demanding death penalty for war criminals, Ganojagoran Moncho was evacuated from Shahbagh intersection by law enforcers.
