Dhaka – Newly appointed chairman of Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) Ekram Ahmed was sworn in on Tuesday. Chief Justice Md Muzammel Hossain administered the oath to him at Judges’ Lounge of the Supreme Court.SC Registrar AKM Shamsul Islam conducted the oath-taking ceremony which was attended, among others, by secretary to the PSC Secretariat and its other officials.
The government has appointed Ekram Ahmed who earlier worked as a member of PSC, as its chairman. The Ministry of Public Administration issued an order in this regard on Monday.
Ekram has replaced AT Ahmedul Huq Choudhury whose term expired on December 19. – UNB
