Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) seized 473 bottles of foreign liquor and 978 cans of beer raiding Fuwang Club at Gulshan in the city on Friday.
The elite force also arrested two people — Mahin Chowdhury, 44, and Golam Mortaza, 50 — in this connection.
Tipped off, a special team of Rab-1 along with members the Department of Narcotics Control conducted the raid on the club at 411 Gulshan-Tejgaon Link Road around 1pm, said sources at the Rab headquarters.
During the drive, the crime-buster team seized the liquor and beer hidden in different storerooms, bathrooms and guard rooms of the club.
The club authorities failed to show any valid document in support of selling alcohol at the club.
