A railway security guard was crushed to death under the wheels of a train at Bhatshala in Sadar upazila of the district on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Chhoton Miah, 42, of Basudebpur village of the upazila.Government Railway Police sources said speeding Dhaka-bound ‘Subarna Express’ train from Chittagong hit Chhoton while he was guarding the rail tracks in the area around 6:00am, leaving him dead on the spot.His body was found lying cut into several pieces with the head severed, said government railway police sources.Railway police recovered the body in the morning and sent it to hospital morgue for an autopsy. –UNB, Brahmanbaria
