Rajshahi 31-run behind after Mizanur’s ton vs Ctg

Dhaka – Mizanur Rahman’s century of 102 runs on day-two helped Rajshahi Division reducing the 1st innings deficit to 31 from 260 runs against Chittagong Division in a Tier 2 match of the four-day Walton 19th National Cricket League (NCL) at Shaheed Chandu Stadium, Bogra on Saturday.Rajshahi resumed the 1st innings with overnight score 34/2 in 9 overs and raised their tally to 229/5 in 69 overs at stumps where Towhid Hridoy (17*) and skipper Farhad Hossain (8*) were at the crease at the end of the day.The overnight 3rd wicket pair between Mizanur and Delwar Hossain contributed 153 off 45.2 overs before Delwar was run out at 184/3 in 52.4 overs scoring 62 runs off 143 balls. The partnership started from 31/2 in 7.3 overs.Mizanur fired 13 boundaries and two sixes off 163 balls for his century before being caught by Mehedi Hasan Rana off Iftekhar Sajjad bowling, leaving team total at 194/4 in 54.1 overs.Iftekhar Sajjad, Mehedi Hasan Rana, Hasan Mahmud and Shakhawat Hossain took one wicket each in the innings for Chittagong.
