Recent millitant & Solakia attacks are parts of London conspiracy

Dhaka-Awami League joint general secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif yesterday alleged that the recent militant attacks at the city’s Gulshan restaurant and the Solakia Eid Ground is a part of London conspiracy.“During the militant attack at Holey Artisan Bakery at Gulshan, several phone calls came in Bangladesh from London and Pakistan. So it is clear that the militant attack was a part of London conspiracy,” he said this while addressing a discussion organized by Sector Commanders Forum, at the National Museum in the city.
He also criticized BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir for making statements in favour of terrorists and militants saying that the members of law enforcing agencies have not been bothering innocent people, those who are involved in militant and terrorist activities, are being arrested and brought to justice.
About the alleged move of the government move to cancel the Swadhinata Padak of BNP founder and former pesident Ziaur Rahman, Hanif said the government should implement its decision in this regard, immediately.
“Ziaur Rahman was no longer a freedom fighter. He (Zia) joined the country’s Liberation War in 1971 as an agent of Pakistan. He doesn’t deserve the prestigious award,” he said adding that the departed souls of martyrs, who sacrificed their lives during Liberation War, will be in peace if his (Zia) Swadhinata Padak (Independence Award) is scrapped.
Swadhinata Padak (independence award) is Bangladesh’s highest state award in recognition of contribution to national independence.
He also reiterated that an investigation commission should be constituted to detect those conspirators directly involved in the killing of Bangabandhu and then the real mystery behind his killing would come out to light.-STAFF REPORTER
