Report against Khaleda for hurting religious sentiment

Dhaka-The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka on Tuesday set January 23 for submission of the probe report in the case filed against BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia for hurting religious sentiments of people and inciting communal hatred.Magistrate Pronab Kumar Hui of the court passed the order setting the new date as police Shahbagh Police Station did not submit the report yesterday (Tuesday). The police have so far took 26 times to submit the probe report.
President of Jananetri Parishad, a pro-Awami League organisation, AB Siddique filed the case against the BNP Chief on October 21, 2014, for her speech at a reception hosted in honour of the Hindu community at the Engineers` Institution Bangladesh on the occasion of Durga Puja on October 14, 2014.
On the same day, the court directed the police of Shahbagh Police Station to investigate into the case and submit probe report after hearing the plea of the complainant of the case. -Special Correspondent
