Reporter defies White House rules of not recording briefings

A White House reporter violated the Trump administration’s ban on recording press briefings.

Ksenija Pavlovic of The Pavolovic Today broadcast a live-streaming audio record from the Wednesday press briefing with Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Pavlovic posted two audio recordings using the Periscope App, the first lasting 17 minutes and the second lasting 31 minutes, The Washington Post reports.

Pavlovic is being honored as a hero by those frustrated by the restrictive press access in the Trump administration.

“Yet her act of rebellion marks a significant development in White House-media relations. Reporters have chafed at recent restrictions on coverage of news briefings, urging the president’s communications team to allow live broadcasts,” The Post explained. “Nevertheless, they have complied with the White House’s rules, despite carrying devices that can stream video or audio with a few taps of the thumb.”
