Dhaka, July 14 (UNB) – In the latest reshuffle in the police administration, 26 Superintendents of Police (SPs) were given new postings on Sunday.
Police Section-1 of the Public Security Division under the Home Ministry issued two separate notifications in this regard with immediate effect.
According to a notification, Brahmanbaria SP Md Anwar Hossain Khan and Moulvibazar SP Mohammad Shahjalal have been given posting as Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs) at the Police Headquarters.
Faridpur SP Md Jakir Hossain Khan, Netrakona SP Joydev Chowdhury, Laxmipur SP ASM Mahtab Uddin, Narsingdi SP Miraj Uddin Ahmed and PHQ AIG Md Anisur Rahman have been made Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) while Sunamganj SP Md Barkatullah Khan has been appointed SP of Highway Police (Admin & Planning).
Natore SP Saifullah Al Mamun has been transferred to Railway Police as its SP while Madaripur SP Subrata Kumar Halder attached to Rangpur DIG Range office.
Special Branch SP Abdur Rahim Shah Chowdhury has been posted as SP of Police Training Centre (PTC), Tangail while SB SP Farhat Ahmed as SP of PTC, Noakhali, SB SP Md Saifullah Bin Anwar to PHQ as AIG and DMP DC Masud Ahmed has been posted to Criminal Investigation Department (CID) as SP.
According to the other notification, DMP DC Dr AHM Kamruzzaman has been transferred to Laxmipur as SP while SB SP Md Mizanur Rahman to Sunamganj as SP, DMP DC Md Alimuzzaman to Faridpur as SP, AIG of the PHQ Faruque Ahmed to Moulvibazar as SP, DMP DC Liton Kumar Saha to Natore as SP and DMP DC Mohammad Anisur Rahman has been sent to Brahmanbaria as SP.
DMP DC Md Akbar Ali Munshi has been posted as Netrakona SP while DMP DC ASM Murad Ali as Meherpur SP, DMP DC Proloy Kumar Jowarder as Narsingdi SP, DMP DC Md Mahbub Hasan as Madaripur SP and Meherpur SP Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman has been sent to Satkhira as SP.
