Resist Jamaat as it’s flexing muscle: Sajeda

Deputy leader of the House Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury on Thursday urged all to be united to resist Jamaat-e-Islami as it is flexing its muscle again.
“They (Jamaat) are trying to raise heads once again …they’re conspiring again,” she said.Sajeda, also the presidium member of the ruling Awami League, said this while addressing a council of Bangabandhu Ainjibi Parishad of Dhaka Bar Unit at the Supreme Court Bar Association Auditorium in the city.
“We must get united as we’ll have to resist Jamaat… we’ll have to tougher …we the freedom fighters will have to annihilate them in our lifetime,” she added.
Sajeda further said, “We’ll have to resist those who still dream of turning the country into Pakistan. We’ll never let the country slip into the hands of Pakistan. We’ll have to move forward with the Liberation War spirit.”
The Awami League leader observed that the anti-liberation forces are out to divide the pro-liberation forces. “We’re giving them the scope. We need to be aware about it.”
About the division in the pro-Awami League lawyers in the Supreme Court Lawyers Association, she said, “You yourselves will have to iron out your own problems…nobody will come up to solve your problems. Those who will fail to come up to forge unity will be declared as non-followers of Bangabandhu in a rally by making a list.” – UNB
