Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested an alleged robber along with a revolver and one round of bullet from Adarsha Ayesha School ground at Hujarajapur village in Sadar upazila early Wednesday.
The arrestee was identified as Anwar Hossain, son of Babar Ali, a resident of Ichhali village of the upazila.DB police sources said tipped off that a gang of robbers was preparing to commit a robbery in the area, a team of DB police launched a drive there at about 1:30 am. When the robbers sensing the presence of the law enforcers attempted to flee, police caught Anwar of the gang along with a revolver and one round of bullet from the spot.The arrestee is wanted in several cases, police said.A case was filed in this connection. -UNB, Jessore
