Dhaka– Members of Coast Guard and police in a joint drive arrested the alleged ringleader of a robber gang from Jorshing area in the Sundarbans West Zone in Koyra upazila of Khulna district in Bagerhat on Tuesday.UNB agencyMahabub Sheikh, 25, ringleader of infamous ‘Mahabub Bahini’, is son of Jabed Ali of Choramukha village in Koyra upazila.Tipped off, a joint team of Coast Guard and police conducted a drive and arrested Mahabub in the morning while his associates managed to flee, said Lieutenant Commander M Fariduzzaman Khan, Staff Officer (Operation department) of Coast Guard Mongla West Zone.They also recovered one firearm and 26 bullets from his possession.
