Rajshahi – A student of Rajshahi University Anthropology department 2nd year, named Debjyoti Bosak Partho on early Saturday was found hanging by the neck in his house in Patuakhali.
Classmates of the student said Partho behaved normally even on last Friday. We contacted him recently. He sometimes used to suffer in mental pressure and he shared this with us. But this time we can’t take such a shock.
He was found hanging in his room and was brought to Patuakhali general hospital where he was declared dead by a doctor. His dead body was kept in the morgue. Rites will be performed after an autopsy, according to them.
Anthropology department assistant professor Bokhtiar Ahmed confirmed his death and said, Partho committed suicide at around 5.00 am on Saturday. The reason for suicide is not known yet. But I was informed by his classmates that he was mentally depressed. – RU Correspondent
