Satkhira beat Jessore 5-4 in tie breaker

Dhaka – Satkhira district made a good start in the opening match of 4th Shaheed Sheikh Naser Football Tournament beating Jassore district by 5-4 goals in tie breaker at Sheikh Helaluddin Stadium in Bagerhat on Saturday.President of Bangladesh Football Federation Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin inaugurated the meet in the afternoon while Poura Mayor and President of Bagerhat Football Association Khan Habibur Rahman presided over the inaugural ceremony.

Deputy Commissioner of Bagerhat Tapan Kumar Biswas was also present at the occasion.Addressing the function Kazi Salahuddin said, “Bangladesh Football Federation has taken a four-year program for the development of the games and I am very hopeful that the country’s football will regain its past glory.”

The federation is ready to help such tournament in the country, Salahuddin added.Gopalganj district will play Chuadanga in the next match on Sunday.

Bagerhat Football Association arranged the tournament, named after Shaheed Sheikh Abu Naser, younger brother of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujubur Rahman.UNB
