Satkhira – Robbers looted valuables, including 18 tolas of gold ornaments, from a house at Kalerdanga village in Sadar upazila early Saturday.Officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station Emdadul Haque said 10-12 robbers stormed the house of one Abdul Majed in the area in the dead of night.Later, the robbers looted 18 tolas of gold ornaments and Tk2 lakh cash and other valuables from the house, keeping the house inmates hostage at gunpoint.Police arrested two people on suspicion of their involvement in the robbery, the OC added.A case was filed in this connection.(UNB)
