A schoolgirl drowned as a boat capsized in the Jadukatha river near Chanpur in Jamalganj upazila on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Kripa Rani Kar, daughter of Lobcharan Kar of Chanpur.Local sources said the engine-run boat with passengers on board
capsized in the river while stopping at a jetty around 11:00 am,leaving Kripa dead.Mizanur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Jamalganj Police Station, confirmed the incident. – UNB, Sunamganj
