Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized smuggled Indian clothes and other goods worth Tk 50 lakh from Sadipur border here on Monday night.
BGB 26 battalion operation officer Major AKM Raihan said acting on secret information, a BGB team conducted a drive on the border at night and seized Indian three-pieces, blouses, imitation gold ornaments, green leaves and medicines worth Tk50 lakh.However, the smugglers fled the scene sensing the presence of the border guards.The seized goods were handed over to Benapole customs office. – UNB, Benapole
