A schoolgirl was killed as a pillar of an old building of her house came crashing down on her in Khalispur area of the city on Tuesday night.The deceased was identified as Ajhora,7, a class I student of Taiyaba Jamiatul Madrasa and daughter of Mojahidul Islam of Taiyaba Colony in the area.
Locals said Ajhora sustained injuries as a part of the pillar of their two story-building collapsed on her when she was standing beside at about 8:00pm.
Critically injured, Ajhora was rushed to a local clinic where attending doctors declared her dead at about 9:00pm.
