Police have rescued a school girl from Satkania Upazila who was abducted some two weeks ago from Chittagong’s Hathazari Upazila.
The 14-year old was saved from Madarsa village of Keochia Union on Friday morning.Hathazari police SI Kawsar Uddin said the prime suspect in the case filed over the kidnap, Md Tanvir, 20, was arrested at the time.
The SI who led the rescue operation said the school-goer was whisked away near her school in Satkania’s Ichhapur on May 11.
The Grade 10 student was kept in Banshkhali until May 17 before being moved to Satkania.
Her father filed a case on May 14 under Women and Children Repression (Prevention) Act at Hathazari Police Station.
