Dhaka – A sexagenarian man was hacked to death by a group of miscreants at Huda Mailmari village in Shailkupa upazila in Jhenidah on Tuesday afternoon.The deceased was identified as Asalat Sheikh, 65, son of Munal Sheikh, a resident of the village.Officer-in-charge of Shailkupa Police Station Tariqul Islam said Asalat was returning home from the field in the afternoon.A group of miscreants swooped on the elderly person near his home and hacked him indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot.The body was sent to hospital for autopsy, the OC added.UNB
