Dhaka – Police arrested an activist of Islami Chhatra Shibir from Shibtala area in Chapainawabganj town on Tuesday night in a cases filed for carrying out destructive activities during the parliamentary elections on January 5, 2014.The arrestee was identified as Mohammad Abdullah, 38, son of Mohammad Shahjahan, a resident of the area.Majharul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sadar Model Police Station, said tipped off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Abdullah at about 8.00pm.The arrestee was wanted in 14 cases filed for carrying out destructive activities and attacking police during and after the January 5 national elections.UNB
